Many of you will be aware that a couple of weeks ago the hide was vandalised necessitating its' temporary closure. The repairs reqiuired were painting out the obscenities and replacing the smashed viewiing window panel. So many thanks to the painters and especially to Trade 2 Trade, a family business from Rochester, who very kindly and most generously supplied and fitted the glass for the viewing window. I am pleased to say that the hide is now fully operational, let's hope the kingfishers are still aroud, providing visitors with stunning close-ups and opportunities to capture some lovely photographs.

This one was taken before the damage by Jim Hoad. Can you better it?

The North Kent Marshes are a very special area and worth preserving at all cost.
