On exactly the same day as I captured the brighter footage of the Glossy Ibis there was a bit of a twitch on down on the lagoons in Goldcliff Pill and the big attraction was a Broad-Billed Sandpiper. This photo was taken from the viewing platform, to the right of hide 2 and the Sandpiper was with a flock of Dunlin at the bottom of the island. It stands out because of its strong eye-stripe. unfortunately the bird roosted for hours and this image is my only record.
ooh, nice find John, the eye/head markings are quite distinct
