Went to Minsmere last week and had on of the best visits ever with some amazing sightings.
Firstly down to the Sand Martin wall and our first Adder sightings this year, unfortunately this one was to shy to show its head properly.
Lots of Avocets paired up on the scrape.
As usual lots of noisy Gulls and quite a few Shellduck
Very smart looking Pintail.
Turnstone
Shellduck
Redshank
Gadwall
Chinese Water Buck
Bittern, this one decided to pose for about 30/40 mins in the open in front of the hide.
I took so many photos still not sorted all of them but this is a small selection.
I think that will do for now and hope you enjoy our sightings.
What's that saying.... " You lucky, lucky, b*****d" lol
The 1st few pics aren't showing Tony.... Everything from the "noisy gulls and shelducks" is fine.... Including those incredible bittern shots. I'm not at all jealous!!!!! Thanks for sharing
Amazing close up photo's of the bittern Tony. Nice set.
Well it was my turn for a good Bittern sighting after so times having walking into Island Mere Hide to be told "you've just missed the Bittern or the Otter" so yea lucky b******
thanks Snappymac, it was almost too close to focus at times, it was strutting its stuff for at least 30mins.
