A wander around the Reserve on a Sunny Day

Last Friday the weather forecast looked good (still and sunny) and a good chance of seeing Bearded Tits and Dartford Warblers, nobody told the birds though, however a great day was had anyway.

While looking for the elusive Bearded Tits I saw this Juvenile Whooper Swan.

Out on the dunes I had this one (and only) shot at a Dartford Warbler.

While looking at some Widgeon I found this Muntjac Deer had appeared behind me and was completely unconcerned by me watching it.

Looking to get a take off shot of one of the many Stonechats I saw my picture was was photobombed by a Meadow Pipit flying straight through and landing just out of shot.

The Stonechat took exception to this and saw the Pipit off.

The Pipit landed nearby but quickly decided to do a vertical take off out of harms way.

On the way to Island Mere Hide a glimpse of a Tree Creeper.

And watched by a Jackdaw.

The Marsh Harriers were about at the hide.

A game of can you spot the Snipe and how many can you see, 2 on this occasion.

Stonechat in late afternoon sun.

With the sun literally in his eye.

A rewarding day out as always at Minsmere and the Cheese Scones were as good as ever.

Best Wishes,

Trevor
