My partner and I visited over Spring Bank Holiday. Had an amazing time and saw some new stuff to us. For me one of the most exciting things was spotting a very localised hover fly that doesn't seem to have been recorded at the site before (at least not on NBN or GBIF). I was wondering if someone can confirm if it is a new sighting for the reserve. It is a very convincing bee mimic so it is possible that people have overlooked it as a bumblebee in the past

She's called Criorhina floccosa and I was very happy to get this confirmed today by the UK Hoverfly Facebook group.,
