A little bit of in-flight practice

When the bird on a branch seems to be all too easy to photograph, you start thinking about more in-flight shots.  Eventually however, masochism rears its head and you decide it's time to flex the hardware with some high frame rate, fast autofocus action at the pond.

Um, blast - bum shots again!  Fascinating from a mechanics perspective, seeing the details of the wing joints, but it'd be nicer from the front!

You do have to keep your eyes open though, don't get too carried away with the Dragons - you might miss this little one :-)
