Cold Minsmere Is it Really May?

Wednesday is round again.

When we got to the car Park and out of the car you could hear the Sea crashing on the Beach. Once we walk to the end of the North Marsh Path the North Sea looked grey like it does days in the winter months. Seeing the colour of the North Sea today made me think are we really at the beginning of the month of May?

Walking back along the North Marsh Path there was a Greylag Goose with their Goslings and seeing those made you for get the look of the grey North Sea.

It was nice to get in the North Hide and get out of the wind. Once We were settled two Greylags and two Canada Geese came swimming past the front of the Hide.

We were about to leave the North Hide and go for Lunch, it started Raining it was that misty fine Rain that wet you more than a heavy down Paw. While it was raining there was a misty right a cross the front of the Hide and Sizewell was no longer in sight.

After lunch we walk through the Woodland Walk and there was a carpet of Blue Bells. Seeing those summer most be round the corner.

Once we got to  the end of the Woodland path we turned right on the South Belt Crossroad and Summer was not around the corner just a chilly wintery wind.

It was nice to get in the Wildlife Hide and out of the wind. I wasn't long when we had a Mute Swan gracefully  swimming path the front of the hide.

Then it decided to take off and go else where.

Once the Swan glided away I looked to the right of the Hide to see the  Mandarin Duck come swimming along.

We did go to the South Hide but it was colder in the Hide than it was outside the South Hide. Because the wind was coming from the North and blowing right into the hide front window.

Walking back to the Visitors Centre I noticed a Grey Heron hiding behind the reeds and what fun I had trying to get this Photo of the Grey Heron sitting on depth gage.  Because I have to use Auto Focus my Camera was trying to focus on the Reed that were waving in front of the lens.

I am really happy the way the photo has turned out.

Going back through the Woodland Walk I noticed a Muntjac Deer hide in the trees. It wasn't until after I had taken the photo and look at it in the Café I noticed that it is the back end of the Muntjac Deer.

End of another great day at Minsmere. See you all next Wednesday.
