I, like many people, were very pleasantly surprised by the hot weather over the weekend. The sunshine certainly brought out the visitors to the reserve over the weekend asI worked as a PEA out of the POD (you must visit to see the meaning of this). My fellow PEAs and I must have greeted more than 350 visitors over the course of two days! Everyone making the most of the perfect weather to be outdoors, many of them holding cameras as they passed by.

I took the opportuity to remind people that we are holding the first of our Wildlife Photography Workshops this coming Saturday. Many of you are probably already aware that our Site Manager, Nick martin, is an accomplished wildlife photographer (www.martinimages.co.uk) and he will be passing on his tips & techniques for capturing the sort of wildlife photograph you'd be proud of.

The all day workshop starts at 10am and runs until 4pm. Drinks will be provided but we suggest you bring lunch unless you want to go to the Courtyard Cafe.

Details of  the event can be found on our website or by ringing the office on 01827 259454. This is a very popular event and there are only a few places left.

See you on the reserves,

Best regards,

Chris Edwards
