The following information is supplied by Kim Lacey who is one of our volunteer wardens, however the weather today (Friday 6th July) is again atrocious so please keep that in mind if planning a visit to the reserve.
The reserve paths are not too bad at the moment – just make sure you wear your wellies!
Kim said he saw a hobby on the reserve and also a ‘big and slient’ short eared owl which he witnessed catching a vole.
Visitors should not be worried if they see blue spray paint on our cows! They have today had their annual worming treatment.
Our pedestrian mower has needed to be repaired but thankfully this has now been fixed and our all being well we will have some fabulous volunteers to mow the some areas of the Playmeadow and some of the paths on the reserve this coming Sunday
Thanks,
See you on the reserves,
Best regards,
Chris Edwards
