We have been told about a water rail  mooching about under the feeders for a few minutes, early one morning.

A Cetti's warbler calling from the bridleway silt pool area.

Those who reached the wetlands – some people park at the Dog and Doublet, Bodymoor Heath, and walk along the canal - saw ....

Reed bunting moving round Fishers Mill Lake.

Little egret and Grey heron  moving around the flooded lakes, perhaps looking for muddy edges.

And starling flocks - not huge numbers now, though, just a few separate groups.

Watch out for evening rook  flocks going to roost around the tall trees at the back of the play meadow.
