Time to say goodbye... the time has come to venture out of Mersehead in search of new experiences. So I'm going to volunteer at another RSPB reserve - Leighton Moss - starting on Monday! Really looking forward to getting fit managing the reedbeds all winter. Gonna be hard work, but reward to see Bittern and Bearded Tit thriving in the reeds.
I'm hoping to get back to visit Mersehead during the winter, the assemblage of wintering wildfowl and waders is really too good to miss, and this is the only place to be for close encounters with Barnacle Geese.
Thanks for making my internship so enjoyable!
