As you may know, Mersehead is closed again today due to flooding. With another extremely high tide of 8 metres due just now, the flood waters don't have a chance of abaiting anytime soon. Sunday may well also be a closed day, but we'll update you if there are any developments.
Once again, Eric has been a star - ferrying Residential volunteer Neil's car out by tractor trailer so he can return home, helping holiday makers from becoming marooned and many other comings and goings.
The birds are loving it of course... a pair of swans have settled on a newly formed lake in the middle of a grass field and curlews are calling around Mersehead for the first time since spring.
