Why didn't I have my video camera with me?

Last week, during a particularly high tide, we saw a Pergrine take an Oystercatcher from the hundreds at the high water roost. It landed on the merse to eat it's kill and was promptly mobbed by crows and a Curlew. Due to the size of the Oystercatcher it was unable to take it's prey away so was then fair game for a Buzzard which stole it's meal. The Peregrine gave way gracefully, if reluctantly, and the Buzzard who also struggled to carry the Oystercatcher away, sat and munched his lunch at the high water mark. Better than SpringWatch!
