Oh my, another week. How many rosettes did Tweed win at the agility contest? Check Patriciat's late post on last week's blog to find out! Congratulations Tweed and Patriciat!
HERON Used to have one of the parliamo books but think we must have got rid of it sometime ago. Agree definitely good for a laugh
My brother was born 2 months premature in 1957 and was christened immediately as he was not expected to live. The result of being so prem is that he is now only 5 ft 4ins and wears 2 hearing aids. But when you think of the other option, well he is just glad to be alive

you mention pancakes. It is pancake day in the UK today so I will be making some . Do you have the same in the USA?
Snow coming down thick and fast now. Have already toped up the bird food twice
Good morning Lindybird and thanks for your good wishes. Waiting for the antibiotics to kick in and hopefully will start to feel better soon. I don't think the weahter is really helping much it is cold and wet today. The birds are going mad for food so have to keep dressing up to go in the garden and put more food out. They have eaten so much this last few days that I have had to order some more on-line. Won't tell the OH but I really don't feel like catching a bus into town to get some more. Rain always brings them in. This morning it seems to be the worms that are in favour together with suet pellets. Have a good day.
Thanks to all who have wished me better hopefully will reply individually to more posts instead of just doing a general reply to all.
Margobird
Tish sorry you are feeling down but keep watching there is always something on here to brighten any day. Take care.
Lindybird I will give my man a big hug and tell him it is from all of us on the forum. He will be very impressed, but as I said he is one in a million don't know what I would do without him.
He certainly sounds like one in a million, Margobird. Don't go falling over, going out to feed your birds.
Hi everyone. The sun's out and the birds are providing the usual top class entertainment.OG: Thankfully the site seems back to normal now. My posts are mad enough appearing just once, never mind three times. I'm reminded of a story my dad has told a few times about when he first started school. The teacher asked the class: "Is there anyone here who'd like to apply for Free Dinners?" My father then replied: "Please Miss. I can only manage the one dinner."dibnlib: Glad to hear your brother got through a tough start to life. His birth sounds similar to mine. I was born a month premature by ceserian section and was christend and confirmed right away because I needed my blood changed three times. They didn't think I'd survive. A transfusion from my mother finally worked but she had to persuade the medical staff. She was 38 at the time. This was in 1977, with 20 years more medical advances than your brother had. He has a brilliant attitude to life. Babies are such fighters though. I was (I've been told), a very crabbit wean. Thanks for the flapjack recipe. Hope that snow leaves you alone soon.ALICAT: Thanks for the owlet notice. Great news.Margobird: I hope you start to feel better soon. Take care.Annette: Just had a look back and have to appologise for the triplicate post. I thought it hadn't worked last night because it kept coming up with the error screen so I saved it in Notpad for posting this morning UK time. I could just imagine standing up in room of people and saying: "Hello my name is Paul. I am a brain farter." LOL. Great news about the dolphins. :-)All the best to everyone.Paul
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Afternoon all from TI,
Annette : Fantastic to see so many dolphins at once.
Tish : Great to see you back posting again. Sorry you have been a bit fed up. Only 5 weeks now until the ospreys return.
Alicat : Thanks for the owl info. I have been too busy watching eagles and ospreys and have been forgetting about the owls. There are so many cams to watch and so much going on just now.
Paul: Your Free dinners story made me laugh. I can just imagine that happening.
Tiger : Another great photo. Thanks.
Margobird: I hope you are feeling better today.
Thanks to everyone else for your comments, chat, recipes etc.
This morning I have been to the vets with Hamish to check on a growth on his right foreleg. Unfortunately he has to have the growth removed tomorrow and sent for analysis just in case. Another big vets bill. It is a good job he is insured.
Lady P and I went to The Walled Garden Centre at Elton for lunch and on the way back saw not one but two buzzards in trees close to the side of the road.
Weather today has been partly cloudy but at least the golden orb has put in an appearance.
Good afternoon Heron 77 loved "free dinner" story. Also had a laugh at being in a room and announcing you are Paul a brain farter.
My birds too are keeping me entertained but poor little things it is pouring with rain and quite cold with it. Lots of topping up of food trays this morning. OH will probably say I shouldn't be going out in the rain but I can't let go without can I. The pair of pied wagtails that visit don't seem to mind the wet at all but I think that is because it is probably churning up some insects for them.
Have a good afternoon.
