Happy new week folks! Don't foget to check the last few posts of the previous week. Heron posted a photo of a female reed bunting, AQ saw a "ginormous flock of corellas" (must Google that!), OG has found a nice B&B for her trip, Alan posted a nifty shot of the changing of the guard at the eagle nest, folks are wondering how Diane is doing with the storm the big storm back East, and much, much more! :-) We had almost 2 inches of rain in Santa Barbara today, which is brilliant. Still sorting files and likely to be doing so for a day or three to come. Take care all.
It's been trying to snow here, too.
Sorry you missed the shuttle launch Diane - I've just watched it on the News Webpage.
Saw another page which some of you might be interested in, here is the link:

Caerann, thank you for the "official" welcome back. I feel honoured!!:) That wedding sounds great. Good the music wasn't too loud as they are great occastions to catch up with those that you haven't seen for a while.
Hope the snow isn't too bad for you. We are due to get some out of this on Wednesday so will keep you posted!
Lindybird, hope the monday jobs haven't been too boring!
Diane, hope the furnance has been/will be fixed. Not great at this time of year. Do you have other means of heat?

Hello everyone
Work in the living room continues. This am I went down to The Meeting Place where we hold the sessions for people with learning difficulties. Today was a talk for all of us on how to learn more about people using pictures. As my drawing skills are non existant I need all the help I can get and it was most useful. Now about to take Dillon out for his afternoon walk. I am glad to say the ice on the paths in the woods is lessening and the paths are getting more navigable although the forecast is for more snow and ice over the next few days so I guess I will have to take my leki pole again. Tomorrow morning I will treat myself to a swim again and look forward to a weeks time when all the work will be complete and we will be comfy again
Here is another nice bald eagle nest with the sea in the background:

We had to buy a new furnace. I must not be living right. ;-) Very kind Furnace Guy is installing it this afternoon. I appreciate your asking!

Alan: The Two Harbors cam has sound as well. I wasn't expecting that so it was pretty startling when the bird started calling. =O)
