Hi All. Don't forget to check last page or so of previous week for all the latest! Granddaughter made excellent time to AZ - got there at 4 p.m. our time - an 8 hour ride with minimal (comparatively speaking) traffic through LA early this morning. Thunder received hysterical greeting from Pepito, tiny noisy companion who wondered where Thunder had gone but was much too noisy and excitable to bring along. Brought Oro home for successful visit after which I went on a hunt-and-scoop mission to clean up yard after two large dogs. Oh fun! Daughter and I watched Wallace and Gromit DVD (the "were-rabbit" one) - a hoot. OH and I just remembered we have tickets for Charlie Rose (PBS interviewer) this evening so have to hose myself down, prop open my eyelids and try to stay awake for another few hours. Why do these things start at 8 p.m.?!
Thanks Alan for reminder re Phoebe (keep reminding us since I'm so busy running and fetching); four big storms due this week with threat of flooding, high winds, power outages. Sounds like real weather!! TerryM: Will pass on gerbil story to hamster! Lindybird: All hankies put away now! :-) Congrats on the redecorating and dibnlib: I'm with you from now on - hire the folks who can do it in half the time (at four times the cost, yes, but....)
Off to comb hair and make self presentable. Have a nice Sunday all.
Thanks Diane. How's the weather out there?
Thanks for the good news Alan and another miracle of nature. Now we just want Lily to produce. Have a good evening.

Around freezing at night and then warming up above freezing during the day. The ground is still very cold, so we have fog, then freezing fog, then more fog -- starting to feel a bit claustrophobic. LOL Looks very dramatic swirling through the woods, though. Hope you have good weather for your flight!
Alan: Wonderful news about the hatching of Phoebe's chick!!! Yay!!! So exciting.
By the way, everyone, there were three moose (or is that mooses? meese?) on the Estonia Forest Cam 1 a few minutes ago. http://www.looduskalender.ee/en/node/2926 Elegant creatures.
Alan: I just got to see the new hummingbird chick -- so teeny, tiny. Made my day!!! The web of life is so miraculous.
OG Thanks for the info that the Winter Wonderland programme(s) are on ITV Player. I've just watched them on my laptop while OH is in the other room watching a Scottish Cup match. (His team, Falkirk, were knocked out last night).
Going to have look at the bear website now. I haven't had much time for browsing, what with dog-walking (regardless of weather - my Border Collies are hardy!) and dog-training for Agility and Obedience. Housework fits into corners of my day!
Hope all those in the path of the snow from the Atlantic, which may brush past NI tomorrow or Thursday, keep warm and safe.
Oh!!, Everyone has been so busy on here, whilst I've been busy! Lots to catch up on already.
GARY: Hope you have a safe & enjoyable trip. Tell us all about it when you return.
Margobird: The first of lots of cuddles for that babe! Also, amazing that you saw a butterfly afte r all this cold weather lately. There are very few insects of any kind about.
Heron77: Do hope you feel a little better now, & it doesn't turn into anything nasty or flu-like. Perhaps you'll just get the 'snuffles'. which my OH has at present, but it doesn't seem to be developing into anything.
Caerann: quote: "but it just turns out that way....! Monday, Monday!"
Diane: Thanks for hints re flash players etc., I muddle through with all these techie things, I'm almost self taught on computers except I did a Word Processing course once, many moons ago.
auntie: Nice to hear from you, even when youre busy! Enjoy your time off.
Alan: Great pics of Bald Eagles, baby Hummers & wild Boars. So much to see. I'm thrilled for Phoebe, too.
Emma Peel: There is a mention on the latest Osprey Blog about the total for the Fund, which is creeping up gradually all the time. I do think that its a bad time of year (or is there no such thing as a Good Time for these things?) as we all feel the pinch a bit in January, just after the festivities.
Tiger: What a Superlink to a Superwebcam world! Enough to keep us all busy all day long! Thanks.
Had an exciting day (!) doing lots of mundane things, both out & about, and at home. At least we don't have to wrap up as if going into the arctic when leaving home for the simplest thing, now. Hope the snow is only returning as a sprinkling, this time (more forecast for tomorrow, those of you not in UK) but at least they are promising reasonable weather again by the end of this week. It's certainly noticeable that its getting dark later & later in the afternoons, now, which makes things feel much less like living in the Dark Ages.
I popped into the local Garden Centre for more birdseed, only to come out with several pounds worth of new feeders as well, as they had cut the price of some of their stock. Now trying to persuade my Goldfinches to accept a new larger feeder with 4 perches instead of only 1 & a half. Daren't tell Husband how much I spent, as will have to peruse the bargain shelf of the supermarket now to feed us for the rest of the week!!!!!
Oh, woe is me! Yesterday afternoon all I could get from this site was "The server is too busy". What was going on? At that time UK should have been tucked up in bed! Is Big Brother trying to tell me I am watching too much birdie stuff and should be houseworking? I did some, honest, on Monday. Earlier Dau#2 invited herself to watch the tennis Mon evening. Some idiot said "Do you want to come for tea?" So Mon was spent watching tennis in one room while cleaning and cooking in another. LOL. Then she took over Himself's Big TV. Wow! I can see the ball !!!!!!! By Day 2 I was fed up with the grunting. Also fed up with the adverts in breaks. I do not like being SHOUTED at. I shall bypass those products. And as for the ghastly promos for programs I shall not be watching when the tennis is finished . . . Has been cool. 14 C overnight, expecting 31 C today.
Hi, AQ. Something has not been right with the site, I think. I could not get on here this morning.
Know what you mean about the adverts (what did we do before remote controls? - but even they are not much help when you are only watching TV with one eye, whilst doing another task.) Glad to hear its a bit cooler for you.
Hi Lindybird. It's great to actually be on same time as another. Yes, I always watch TV with knitting in hand. Grand-dau's jumper should progress well while the tennis is on. I may even finish it before winter. LOL. Here 'tis 8.30 am - soon I must pack up to go to library for our Wed meet.
