Hi All. Don't forget to check last page or so of previous week for all the latest!  Granddaughter made excellent time to AZ - got there at 4 p.m. our time - an 8 hour ride with minimal (comparatively speaking) traffic through LA early this morning.  Thunder received hysterical greeting from Pepito, tiny noisy companion who wondered where Thunder had gone but was much too noisy and excitable to bring along.  Brought Oro home for successful visit after which I went on a hunt-and-scoop mission to clean up yard after two large dogs. Oh fun!  Daughter and I watched Wallace and Gromit DVD (the "were-rabbit" one) - a hoot. OH and I just remembered we have tickets for Charlie Rose (PBS interviewer) this evening so have to hose myself down, prop open my eyelids and try to stay awake for another few hours. Why do these things start at 8 p.m.?!

Thanks Alan for reminder re Phoebe (keep reminding us since I'm so busy running and fetching); four big storms due this week with threat of flooding, high winds,  power outages. Sounds like real weather!!  TerryM: Will pass on gerbil story to hamster!  Lindybird: All hankies put away now!  :-)  Congrats on the redecorating and dibnlib: I'm with you from now on - hire the folks who can do it in half the time (at four times the cost, yes, but....)

Off to comb hair and make self presentable. Have a nice Sunday all.

  • Thanks Annette, enjoy the rain and hope it's being useful. Hope the follow up appointment went well

  • OG   I never take my amaryllis out of the pot except when I am repotting it. I just water it every so often.

  • OG, I do the same as Tiger, but put it outside in the summer in the porch, so it stays dry. I bring it indoors before frosts and start feeding and watering. and it flowers each year.

  • Evening all, as Dixon would say.  Sorry I cannot chat much.  Just started a new work contract days after finishing previous one so less free time in January than I had hoped.  Good to be busy though.

OG – many congratulations on the birth of your grandson.  You must be thrilled and I am delighted for you and your family.

Gary – hope your trip to the UK goes well.  How long will you be here for? Heaven knows the security checks are so tedious I am easily dissuaded to fly anywhere these days.

Alan – there was a full-page article about Sylvia Anderson and Lady P on the Features page of today’s Dundee Courier (paper version) but for some unknown reason the online features article is different.  I’ll post the link to your page if it does show up online in the near future.

Annette – good of you to have kept posting when you have been so busy with your family.

Like everyone else I have been wondering how the generator fund is doing.  Is there a page with a current total?

    Take care everyone.

Diane: I still can't get moving images at Pete's Pond - I deleted some cookies last week, but figure it should have been okay by now. Maybe I should do a Systerm Restore....

Annette: The Pete's Pond site now has a note that says, "You need the latest Flash Player plugin to view the multimedia content on this site."

That latest plugin is Flash Player 10 (version 10.0.42.34), and you can download it free here:

    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Also, do you have the latest version of Real Player? You can get it free here: http://www.real.com/

These companies have been evolving their products, and if you get too out of date, everything can go wacky! You probably already know this, but didn't know whether you had thought to check.

Will be back later to catch up with everybody.

  • Afternoon all from TI,

Unable to get on the community this morning but it seems ok now but very slow.

Emma Peel : Thanks for the info re Lady Penelope.

This morning I was on a car cleaning mission while Lady P was on a hair salon mission. Both missions have been completed successfully.

Weather is not so good today but sunrise was before 8.00 for the first time this year:

    Overcast & gloomy,dry , Temp 6.3c , Wind E 1.8mph , Sunrise 07:59 , Sunset 16:23.

  • OG   it was on STV at 8pm for 30 mins. Wonder if you can find it on the STV version of BBCIplayer

  • Afternoon all. Temps here been normal for January, around -10C and overcast. I would prefer some sunshine but this time of year it would mean colder weather so overcast is ok and `cause there is plenty of snow it isn`t too dark. Been working overtime a lot recently so haven`t had time and/or energy to "say" anything here, sorry... Been reading though and enjoyed everything. Having an extra day off work tomorrow (taking back some of those overtime hours) so must try to do some boooooooring household things...But will definitely check this site and maybe say a word or two ;)

    Take care all!!

  • Hello aunti nice to hear from you.  I hope you have a rest tomorrow - lots of elepnants at Pete's Pond at the moment.

  • Morning all: Couldn't get on at all last night - just didn't load the page, but here we are now!

Diane: Did a System Restore before I got your note and all okay again, but will check on the updates you suggested. Thanks so much!  Off to start the (wet, windy day)!  Back after lunch.

Hallo to all and sorry no time to respond this morning. Take care!
