This Topic has been set up to follow the Autumn 2012 migration and wintering of satellite tracked ospreys, other than Caledonia and Alba from Loch Garten, who are followed on this thread, Tracking Caledonia & Alba
This topic replaces Satellite Tracked Ospreys (non-LG) Mar-Aug 2012
N.B. There are still some missing details (and possibly birds) which I will add once the information becomes available.
Ilmari latest as at 15:00 on 01.02.13 : No change:
Data coming in for BlueYD. Looks like there is not much change.
Good news about Blue YD. He must have found a safe area, which hopefully will get better as the adults head north.
Birdie's DU Summaries 2018 https://www.imagicat.com/
For some reason I would prefer him away from irrigation places
BlueYD latest. There is a rogue point dated 27/02/2013 but I think this is the latest position:
A rogue point eh, Alan. I think so too! At 21.00hr on 27 Jan he is roosting quite happily on the opposite side of the river to the settlement of Dado. That next point sees into the future. 27 Feb at 15.00hr and the quote on that point suggests he has flown a 'massive' distance, at 290m and 32km/hr - the distance covered from the previous point is just over 8km which hardly counts as a 'massive' distance in osprey terms!
Fearna takes a big fly around
Fiddich continues to live in Djoud NP
Beatrice contines to live at 2 centres
Red8T and Rothiemurchus : No change.
I wish Fearna could make her way to where Fiddich is
Thanks Alan, I checked SWT for any updates, but none since 4th Feb ... did you get update on GE? any way thanks :)
