This Topic has been set up to follow the Autumn 2012 migration and wintering of satellite tracked ospreys, other than Caledonia and Alba from Loch Garten, who are followed on this thread, Tracking Caledonia & Alba
This topic replaces Satellite Tracked Ospreys (non-LG) Mar-Aug 2012
N.B. There are still some missing details (and possibly birds) which I will add once the information becomes available.
Very sad on Aigan - she seemed such a trooper
BlueYD back at the Senegal river :
All is well with Piret, living in a small range in South Sudan:
Swedish osprey 57375 still doing well on the coast of Western Sahara. Latest fixes I can find are dated 14.01.2013
We still have no update on Red 8T (Last 5 Januray).
Would this be merely because Roy is so busy rather than any worry about data.
He seems a very settled bird that winters in the same area year after year and rarely ranges very far.
Probably just that Roy is busy: he was in Sweden at last report...
Strange that Roy 'missed' Red8T. I hope it was just an oversight.

Someone made a comment in another place about being worried about Red 8T
I personally have no reason to be worried about Red 8T.
As I reported elsewhere Roy is currently in Sweden building osprey nests.
Tiger Signature
It could just be possible that Red 8T's tracker has fell off, he has had it on since July 2009, and it was said initially that the trackers should fall off after 3 years, although those goal posts have been moved since then. I think I will worry when it comes this Osprey season and he is not sighted at the Rothiemurchus FF, as we know that is his regular haunt.

I have asked about Red 8T on the Highland Foundation for Wildlife Facebook page.
