This is a celebration of life, for all of your fond memories - whether 'missing in action' or otherwise. I'm starting this off with my very special favorite, little 'Bravery' (chick 3 LG nest 2012).
Here he is, deciding to abandon nestoration to take a good look at his domain.......
It is good that you all remember Ospreys that have died or as Richard would say missing in action. I was at the ringing of Alba and she was a handful. Not happy at all being handled. When I saw this I thought that this was going to be the bird that returned, how sad. For your info I posted a close up of Alba in the photo section just after ringing. Check out the eyes. RIP. Regards to you all. Kenny.
Thanks Kendol for posting; you are one lucky person to have held an osprey, even one as feisty as Alba! We were joking at the time of ringing that whoever did it would need thick gloves/a hard hat etc due to Alba's personality and the possibility of Odin defending the nest. I do remember your 'photo, it was beautiful - so clear (as was Caledonia's also). Thank you for reminding us of Alba's beautiful orange eyes. With your permission I could try to post the photo on here. Or would you like to do it?
Sorry for delay in replying Mims but went to bed after posting. You have my permission to post the photo if you so wish, I am not sure how to do this on the forum, I should take time to learn. Best wishes Kenny.
kendol - Your photograph of Alba is beautiful! Such a tradgedy to lose her, she fills a space in my heart with all the others gone before!

At that stage she hadnt a care in the world - her food was provided and she had company - what a harsh life they have to encounter at such a young age. So sad for her and for others lost
Alba.
Here she is!! :-)
Kendal, I hope you didn't mind me uploading the photo?
If nothing goes right, go left! :-)
That's a wonderful photo, Sandra, thanks.
Sandra I have no problem with posting at all. Kenny.
At ringing time Richard said they only had the one picture of Alba and it was quite an awkward angle, so if anyone has found any more "HD-ish" captures I'd love to see them.
