This is a celebration of life, for all of your fond memories - whether 'missing in action' or otherwise. I'm starting this off with my very special favorite, little 'Bravery' (chick 3 LG nest 2012).
Here he is, deciding to abandon nestoration to take a good look at his domain.......
Nicely said about Caledonia, on the previous page, mims. She did indeed seem to have an older head on young shoulders, and reminded me a lot of EJ, so I was hoping that she would carry on EJ's legacy long after she too, left us.
Thanks Margo - there are so many great photos of Nora to make up a collage, sadly we don't have as many clear photos of Caledonia, or would do one for her too.
Mim's a lovely post about Caledonia.

Mary, thank you for that lovely collage of Nora pictures, she was so beautiful and a wonderful mother, I was heart-broken when she did'nt return. And now we have the same feelings all over again about Caledonia.
Rita I was equally sad too about Nora, in all the excitement of Monty and all his girlfriends I thought she had been forgotten about a bit, she was a wonderful mother and I will never forget her practise feeding when her first eggs hatched. Her first year and she had 3 chicks to take care of and both her and Monty did a fantastic job. All in vain too, but I will still cling on to the hope that one day we may just see a sighting of Einon.
Looks as though we now have to add Oighrig to this thread, another sad loss.
See blog about Oighrig.
Here are some pics from last season's nest at LG:
If we have indeed lost Oighrig, these are nice memories to have of what was a happy nest, last year.
We cannot forget the loss of 5R(04), I never thought that he would not return, I always imagined he would have been the one to take over from the Great 03(97). Sadly this was not to be!
He was very special by the fact that he was the first naturally-reared chick to return to England or Wales for 150 years.
THE STORY OF HIS RETURN AS A 2 YEAR OLD.
and so poignant is this last blog about him:
SO LONG FAREWELL
If you can read this without a tear in your eye :-( !!!!!!!
I am sure that John Wright in this instance will permit me to use his great photo of the "wonderful" 5R(04) RIP.

Mary very sad that 5R did not return. I am sure he will be remembered with much affection.
Oh I think he will Margo especially at Rutland! :-(
