This is a celebration of life, for all of your fond memories - whether 'missing in action' or otherwise. I'm starting this off with my very special favorite, little 'Bravery' (chick 3 LG nest 2012).
Here he is, deciding to abandon nestoration to take a good look at his domain.......
Nice to think of Laird, who was indeed a handsome bird, and tried so hard to do what he could when Lady was so ill. Thanks to Nite Owl and Sandra for the lovely pics of him. I just hope he is somewhere else, perhaps he got delayed this year and spent the summer with another lucky lady Osprey!
Sandra thanks for the pic,yes the Laird was a handsome bird, like Lindybird hope he is ok somewhere.
I would also like to think he is alive and well somewhere as I do all those missing and not had confirmation of circumstances of why... :)

NiteOwl thank you and just had to remember 7Y and thankyou. I think he is still around.
He was building a frustration nest and not there as too close. I do believe he is around. Lady did not even try to wait for him. I think they had divorced.
No matter what a briiliant Osprey and wonderful how he saved Lady and the chicks.
I hope you are still here
I am going to say Mallachie. This photo was my desktop picture up until last year, when my laptop got a virus, managed to find this elsewhere on the blog.

Thank you so much for that Tiger, I have had a look, some crackers there! Much better than some of the ones I had.
I'm here B&B .. Laird 7Y did build a fustration nest and had a fling with another Lady caller ... but I asked Ruth on LotL thread earlier this season to ask SWT about him and the nest when she visited Lowes... she was told no sign of him or the other nest as it was out of their range of sight, but if he did come back there surly would have been a sighting, I hope he is ok and enjoying his life wherever that may be.. :)
Thanks to you all for your pics, memories and tales of Ospreys past... :)
Thanks Nite Owl for the video reminding us of of Lady being fed by the male: it was an amazing sight and shows that the Rulebooks for Ospreys can always be broken.
