ChloeB & Tiger's Osprey Data
Thanks JSB - my post was last week asking on how far Blue YD had to travel to water and Tiger just reiterating his prophecy above! Just signed in and saw that Stan is ok - worries me a bit that he is flying west still and away to check on the other updates now! Saw on the loch of the lowes the similarities in Blue's scenery - uncanny shot of both lakes and how similar they look.
Oh, I will, I will CHLOE - and no I haven't done anything that I know of , default wise. I'm sure someone somewhere has mentioned but Blue 44 is so behind on GE so it's good to read that he really has ''arrived'' , or as good as, on the stats sheet.
Just for the record....the two Blues....44 is still in France and who knows he may stay there and YD is beside the River Senegal. Which is also the border between the two countries, Mauritania and Senegal. (End of geography lesson.)
Slaps forehead! Got muddled ... but forget which one . OK , great JSB Boy Blue is still in France near Spain.

I was wondering who you were talking about. All young ospreys in Britain have blue rings these days.

Blue44/Lewis seems to have become BlueBoy, Blue for short. Easily done ;-D
Thank you yet again, JSB. Glad to see that Fearna has crossed the Channel at last. I wonder which route south she will take?

Well, nearly all. Whoever rings Lake District chicks may still have a few white rings to use up, depending on whether the Esthwaite nest was successful this year.

[/quote] You are absolutely right I had temporarily forgotten about Lucky 13 or should he now be renamed Unlucky 13. I somehow do not think we will be seeing white 13 again unless someone goes out to find him. It is stange that 9 (98) thought to be the hard one to get to was recovered while Lucky 13 is still MIA. I have seen a report elsewhere (LG bloggers FB?) that a team from - I think - Alicante University are going out to search.
I think Rutland were just incredibly lucky that not one, but two people saw their appeal and were willing - and, more to the point, able - to help out quickly and safely. LDOP presumably have RSPB influence to draw on, however, so it does seem odd that it is taking so long. It will be much harder now to find any trace of him.
