ChloeB & Tiger's Osprey Data
Tiger, here he is in flight on 25th no time given. I think it was the second fix yesterday.
EDIT: Yes it was, they go 24th 5pm, 25th to the north east, 25th back south again.
Ahem....someone posted that info further back on the thread. Ever get the feeling you are invisible? :)
ChloeB: I was fiddling with my new battery for the laptop, so not paying attention!
LOL you are forgiven then :))

Recently someone asked if the satellite ariel was visible when the bird was flying and at what distance. I appreciate this bird is perched but it does give a fair idea of the situation and more so if you click on the photo which enlarges it. Sorry can't find the actual post. Another point, certainly in the early days, was that the tag reflected the sunlight so you would get a 'flash' as the bird turned much like a mirror used to signal with.
Birdies LG DU update.
It was me and the query was relative to Blue 44, because I was curious why nobody had noticed the sat tag on him. Well now they have! That's great.
On another point I have been looking for the Etangs Reserve website, been trying ONF, the French Forestery Oganisation among others without success so far. I understand from faune.aquitaine that the reserve is known as Etang Blanc, Seignosse.
My heart sank when I saw Tiger's post on this page about the scare - what a relief and how wonderful to see him photographed.
Tiger thanks for the info on 5R - who knows and as you suggest worth following - am sure it does happen
So relieved to know Blue 44 and Blue YD are doing well.

I wonder how she's faring in the nasty weather, and if she may be encouraged to move on?
