Welcome ALL to a new week from chilly Adelaide (4.0 C min overnight here near the beach).
Thanks for that explanation, DOGGIE - I sometimes cant see other peoples pics.
We are just having lunch - IN THE GARDEN !!!!!!!!! - only a bit of salad as mid afternoon we are off to an Afternoon Tea Garden Party to celebrate a couples 30th Wedding Anniversary - they are so lucky to have this weather. Will report back tomorrow on what we ate!
Hi LB - I am in the garden too, but weeding and being treated to an aerial display by the Red Arrows and they have just landed - one after the other (all 9) in a line down the dual carriageway just at top of quarry and turned left to land at Manston Airport. Wonderful free display - usually see them quite often but weather has been too bad recently - must be overnighting from an air show so will see them again tomorrow.

OG like the sound of scarecrows as an exhibit. Also like the sound of your soup.
WENDY thank you for your funny. I didn't expect that punchline either. You can't see the Red Arrows too often as far as I am concerned. Each time they thrill me as much as the first time I saw them.
LINDY lovely pics of Lottie. I guess she still has a lot of growing to do. Can you remind me of her breed again please? Hope you enjoy your afternoon celebrations. Can't come up with a good name for your duckie, might call it Quirky, or Lucky or Mucky Have seen similar but didn't realise they were weatherproof.
OH has spent time watching the Open over the past 4 days but hope to get out and about a bit over the next few days
Hello all. I've caught up at last! Yesterday was busy and the evening spent at an outdoor event to mark friends' 40th wedding anniversary. The husband is my dog agility trainer and the party was held on our training ground (a 2.5 acre firld which he owns. He also organises events in the Stormont Estate (including one for the Queen's recent visit) so has contacts with lots of people who can provide food, entertainment etc. It was great fun. Some people were camping or caravanning overnight but I had to come home, so very 'sober and correct'!
dibnlib Glad to hear Dillon is feeling better. Chicken and rice seems to be the normal convalescent diet. My dogs have a dried food which is C & R, developed by a vet in Wales and sold under his name. That's their normal diet but my sister's labrador, which seems to have a sensitive digestive system, can't tolerate it and has one of the super-expensive, only from the vet diets. You'll have to try to stop Dillon eating too much grass (my lot do it all the time.)
Wendy Loved the funny. The punchline was brilliant! Lucky you to see the Red Arrowsa often - I jusst love them. We live just uphill from the little local airport (mostly just a flying club and facilities for private aircraft. From time to time they will organise an airshow and usually try to get the Red Arrows. Last time they also had a short display by the Eurofighter. The noise was appalling!
Trish Hope Mia is fully recovered now. It's such a worry when they're off-colour.
Sorry I haven't commented on everyone's posts. That's what comes of leaving it too long.
PATRICIAT. So glad you had a fun day. Dillon is 110% again.and next time I see him eating grass I won't laugh it off but will stop him.
The Eurofighter (Typhoon) is indeed noisy, but what a performance. I have never seen anything climb like it and its ability to turn tight is quite amazing. It is every fighter pilots dream to fly one of those.
Have just heard that Bradley Wiggins has won The Tour de France. I know it was expected but things could have gone wrong for him. I am so glad they didn't. Very well done to him.
Amazed to see anyone here today since it's apparenly been sunny in many places in the UK. Sun not out here today yet - but marine layer is thinning as I type.
OG: Just filled the bird feeders; does that count as doing nothing? Am hoping for some good movies on telly so I can loll, read, and nap. Dinner will be last night's leftovers, so no hassle there; lunch the usual fresh fruit and yogurt or cottage cheese. OH is organizing a dog-and-pony show for his small-business volunteer group next week, so he'll be tied up with that.
dibnlib: From others' posts I see chicken and rice is the diet of choice for upset doggy innards.
Wendy: Didn't anticipate that punch line either. :-) What a thrill to have the Red Arrows as neighbors.
Lindybird: Not unusual for our credit card companies to do a blanket re-issue of cards if there's even a hint that theirs or a merchant's data base have been compromised; seems to happen more often than ever. I do buy stuff online and (fingers crossed) haven't had any problems yet. Lottie is gorgeous, but I've never seen whiskers like that; what kind of dog is it and will those whiskers disappear or get more pronounced. Can't help thinking Delilah Duck!
Alicat: Good to hear from you - where are you going for vacation? How are all those aches and pains you had?
Doggie: Haven't officially said hallo yet; so "Hallo!"
Hi to patriciat too!
OK, so it's approaching dinner time in the UK and almost 10 a.m. here; off to enjoy my Do Nothing Day.
LINDY/ANNETTE just love the idea of Delilah Duck and how good to tell g granddaughter when she is older.
