Welcome ALL to a new week from chilly Adelaide (4.0 C min overnight here near the beach).
I really like the inclusion of so many children in the show; what memories for them.
I'm a bit confused by the back and forth between the songs/dances and film/digital images in this musical journey through the decades..... wonder how that works for the audience in the arena.
AQ: The parade of nations has just started and there's a very lively bunch of folks from Oz!
Not sure I'm going to be able to last all the way through the alphabet.... will sign off from here now. Have a good Saturday everyone.
I've just finished viewing the beginning of the opening show. Hm, if it weren't for the voiceovers I would have been confused. Great that so many participants were volunteers rather than professional entertainers.
And yes, ANNETTE, Aussies do tend to do their "own thing".
Hello Starling - thankyou - what a lovely way to start the day, looking at all that beauty!

I definitely saw a glint of a smile when HM stood up to face JB. Funnily enough I didn't see it last night, but on the replays this morning. Well done to her for taking part in this way.

Thank you Emma, Annette and Wendy.
And yes Annette, it is a boy.

DIBNLIB I reckon I'd have a glint of a smile on my face if I had JB / DC in my house!
Just dropped a sample of Mia's in at the vets to make sure all is still clear after a few days off antibiotics. Was really lazy on the way home. The car was filthy and I always wash it myself. Today I decided to try out the car wash where there is a team of people who do the various stages - pressure washing, washing by hand, pressure washing again and squeegying and leathering off. What lazy way out. Not sure Mia was too sure about the pressure washing but lets face it, it's not that different than being in the car in some of the rain we've had this year!!
Just had my treat for the day. Left computer and went downstairs, heard a noise and thought I know what that is. Rushed to the windows in time to see the Red Arrows flying over. Shame I wasn't still upstairs as I'd have been able to see them for longer. I wonder where they're off to. I'll have to look it up on their site and hope they pass again on the way home!
