Welcome ALL to a new week from chilly Adelaide (4.0 C min overnight here near the beach).
Some lucky people round here have a power cut. Unfortunately we are not one of them.

What a beautiful baby. Picture perfect :-)
I am watching the parade. Not sure about the gold bling on the Team GB outfits. Anyone else out there watching or is it a bit switch off? Hopefully Alan has pulled the plug - its not for him, nor for Heather I see..
I hate all the hypocrisy of this banner waving stuff and politics. Lets get on with the real olympic events.
Hmm. Re the Olympics, sounds like I should have crossword or jigsaw puzzle on hand when I watch the show this evening..... :-)
Starling: That's a gorgeous little - boy?
Alan: I see Simmonds followed up that book with The Fall of Hyperion. Doesn't sound like a positive outcome. I'm not a SciFi type (well, apart from Farenheit 451; have just finished a marathon multi-book journey (most of them by Robert K. Massie) through Russian history ending with the downfall of the Romanovs.
Its over. A feat of theatrical mastery with humour too (except from HMTQ who didn't manage a smile when the cameras were looking at her). Well done Danny Boyle and yes Annette, have something to hand to keep you going through the parade. One or two minor hiccups but I thought it was pretty good, Why so late? Ok, off to bed.
I woke just after 6 am, couldn't get back to sleep, so watched the O spectacular "live" from the children-in-bed sequence. I got plenty of knitting done & half sewn up LM's top. Maybe I shall watch the beginning when it's replayed this pm - just to finish the sewing-up!!!
Emma: Well, I can see what you mean about HMTQ. Great show so far!
