How many of us are torn between dread and hope for the new day to come?
The peace and quiet of the LG nest is punctuated solely by unalarming chick noises. Long may that last.

Here it is after editing the alternative word for gap which, for quiz lovers, begins with a 'C' followed by an 'H' then 'I' then 'N' and ends with a 'K'
Difficult to see because #2 is mostly off-camera, but they both seem to be eating now.

LOL RtB. To be honest I can't be angry with any of the remaining chicks. Two healthy young Ospreys fledging and going on to live long and fruitful lives would be the greatest tribute to Bravery :-)
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
I will stick with this nest for the moment, simply because I have a 'connection' with it. It was the first osprey nest I ever followed, and I have volunteered there several times.
I'm going off now. This is the early stages of the feed. Take care all :)
Unknown said: At least the nest has not failed completely this year. But I have to admit that the whole episode has left a rather sour taste in my mouth.

I think you have got it exactly right. We still have to chicks left that have a long way to go. I think we all feel for EJ and Odin - let's all hope that things go well for chicks one and two and when it is time for all to migrate let's all hope that they all return for us either next year or in years to come. That has to be the bright side of this tragedy .

Whatever happens (and has happened), I will be glad if Odin and EJ can fledge at least one chick this year.
Just a question, friends. A what point will EJ or Odin remove Bravery's remains from the nest?
see you later mims, and thanks for the video clips.
Feeding time at the zoo still goes on apace. Odin is going to have to work hard to bring in the same kind of catches as EJ....
See you later Mims :-)
