DAILY UPDATE (LG nest) Sunday 17 June 2012

How many of us are torn between dread and hope for the new day to come?

The peace and quiet of the LG nest is punctuated solely by unalarming chick noises.  Long may that last.

  • #2 is  a vicious  mentally unbalanced bird. Animals only kill to eat or protect themselves or their young

    Formerly known as Barbara Jean

  • Patily. I was being sarcastic about the "so called" RSPB I watched 2008 when Nethy was attacking Little Yin and it died.

If nothing goes right, go left! :-)

  • I havent posted on here for a long time and by the looks of what is been said I wont be posting on here much in the future either. I would like to know through all your ranting who has killed N0 3 Chick. I thought it was no2 chick and we dont know if he is a she or a he. This is nature or hadnt you realised. These things happen in real life. You wouldnt know what was happening if it wasnt for the RSPB having a camera and observing the nest for 24 hours a day.

Does EJ not realise something is wrong?

Why would she, she hasnt for the past week :-(

    A very old Shropshire Lad.

  • What I would like to see come out of this is a recognition that the bloggers know what they are talking about. When they flag up concerns they are real.

Those bloggers who expressed concern on Thursday night (14th June) have been proved to be correct.

  • Rachel, no one is blaming the staff.

If nothing goes right, go left! :-)

  • Could it be that Bravery (who was doing very well before things went downhill) took unwell, meaning that he or she was unable to feed and built up the strength needed to stand a chance of surviving the attacks from Wisdom.

I'm only speculating because I'm trying to make sense of it all.  Please correct me if I'm mistaken.

Warning!  This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar.  Approach with extreme edginess.

  • The RSPB are quick enough to get people to join, but when it comes to saving and helping a young bird that they can see that is being attacked and then killed, they do nothing!! What does RSPB stand for!! Protection??, help??

If nothing goes right, go left! :-)

Yes and because the RSPB are showing us what happens turning it into an entertainment they surely have a duty to "PROTECT" each and every "BIRD" if at all possible thats what rsPB stands for.

  • Well said Chris.
