I have always felt that we should have a thread for EJ as well as Odin.
My countdown clock says that we might expect her to swoop into Loch Garten 76 days from now. I hjope it has warmed up by then.

I have only been there once Clare, and it's a memory that will live with me forever. Glad you made it there.
Words borrowd from Sheila, as I couldn't express my thoughts and feelings any better
The last time EJ was caught on camera fishing at the Aviemore Lochan, by Dave and Lynne Joicey. She returned to Loch Garten and spent many hours on a perch with her fish. An unknown male joined her before, at approx 15:15 Friday 14 July 2017, she chased off intruder Blue CT6(14) a female hatched in Aberdeenshire. EJ has not been seen since, either at the nest nor fishing. Has she left the area to roam for a while before she heads south for the winter, or has something befallen her? Next March I will await her return, with hope in my heart.
Birdie Num Num's brilliant DU summary 2017
Very lovely photos of a beautiful lady. And your last sentence Moffer sums up my thoughts exactly. I do hope she is ok and decided to have a rest from defending her nest alone.
Beautiful images, I sincerely hope she is ok and having a leisurely trip to warmer climes. She has endured some dreadful events this season, and I have the image of the 'doughnut' nest in my mind when all was well apart from the weather. God bless her.
Cathy. This was at 0519 on 25th of April,2017
and then I found this one from last year ...16th April 2016, 0552
.
Birdies LG DU update.
Moffer, beautiful photos courtesy of Dave and Lynne. I so do hope and wish and pray that she has had a wee holiday and will move away on her migration and return to us next year to start the proceedings off again with whoever that may be. These are such beautiful photos of our girl and ones to cherish, I so hope it will not be the last ones taken.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
That's the image Mike, thank you.
She certainly had it very tough this year between the snow and the nest failure and losing Odin. She is a tough cookie and hopefully she thought she had enough and needed to build her strength for her journey knowing that she can reclaim her nest in 2018.
Two rather poignant photos of EJ taken from the screen in the visitor centre when she eventually fed herself after her third chick finally gave up its fight for life.
