Happy Sunday Everyone! Thanks Paul for starting things off for us. =O)
I hope everyone has been having good holidays what with Xmas and Boxing Day and all. We just had Xmas Day this year, due to the weather, our celebration today had to be canceled. I'm grateful to have spent time with the family yesterday as poor John has gotten my cold and was too ill to be with us on Xmas and I'm still fairly sick as well. The snow today sure was pretty to look at from our kitchen window though:
Heron: Thanks for starting us off! You're another night owl, like Diane in Indiana.
Alan: Glad you had a good time with bingo - sounds like nice old-fashioned fun.
OG: How nice of you and OH to help daughter with boiler. What a lovely birthday present for them - I bet she was relieved!
I'm almost more tired this evening than last night. Still can't get the sound on the DVD player; plan to switch it out with the one in the living room tomorrow; then, if it doesn't work, will hit it with large hammer.
For all of us Owl fans, here's a shot from the Valmont CO. nest:
Hey Caerann: Oh boo - still under the weather; hope you and John can relax for the next couple of days. Fab photo of owl!
Annette:
I believe that disposing of uncooperative electronics and computers by kicking the offending item in to the middle of a busy street or on to train tracks should be an option.
Or if you've ever seen the movie Office Space, a large sledgehammer will do the trick as well. =O)
Caerann: We have a serious hammer. I'm going to peruse my cook books while keeping an eye on the blog and the other on Pete's Pond, where impalas have just shown up. It was really busy last evening (California time).
Signing off for the night now. See y'all again soon! =O)
Oh, Caerann: I'm so so sorry that you and John are sick. Do you have fever? Please get lots of rest and get well. I just watched the news, and I see that you are dealing with very bad weather up there, too. I'm sending good energy. Good health to you, my friend!
Oh Diane: If you're there take a quick look at Pete's Pond. :-))) He/she looks like I feel!
Oh, my stars! Annette: Did you see those mongooses, er...mongeese? Weren't they wonderful!? I think the ginger-colored one may be "Skirminkle," that's the name of the one that Afke rescued and raised. And aren't those baby wildebeasts just the cutest things!? Did you see the great close-up of the wartie lazing in the mud? And now I see that the big, ol' cranky kori bustard is back today. And did you see that eland lean over and goose that warthog just now -- being spiteful? LOL Oh, now the zebras are here! Pete's Pond is very busy! In one frame, I can see zebra, wildebeast, eland, a warthog, and the bustard!
