more people are needed to protect the ospreys as they are rare .the best way we can help is to raise money.
p.s help raise money by going onto the Rspb website for ospreys.
Happy birding!
Thank you for the info Brenda H. They needed us to raise £7000 by February as I recall, so there is not much time left. I am hoping desperately that enough will be raised. I can manage a little more on pay day at the end of January.
Hi Foxtail, I was thinking the same as yourself. If we want this project to succeed and if folk are able, we may have to contribute again. Richard may give us more information shortly.
I have been thinking about this and realise that this project must happen sooner or later. It is just so necessary.

Foxtail: I with you on a second donation but would rather make it in February (when I have a birthday and may well receive a cash gift).
"Mains power project up-date: The project is getting closer to being a go-er. Planning permission has been received this week, so that's a significant step. However the funding package is as yet incomplete, and we still await further news from several applications to potential funding pots. Meanwhile though you continue to help us towards this, with the blog contributions now at £4,500 of the £7,000 asked for (up from £4,330 last week), which is brilliant, but we still have a way to go yet. Thank you to everybody who has chipped-in, you've been marvellous. We will keep the appeal going for a few weeks yet. Our hope is that if and when the funding package is in place, then work can commence in mid to late February. - Richard" This posted on 26th Jan
The above sounds like the appeal might be kept live until the end of Feb at least - I'm hopeful. As Tiger wrote, this project must happen sooner or later, so let's all try to make it happen sooner.
Donation made.
