Weekly Chat, Sunday, December 20 2009

Hi folks: Don't forget to check the last pages of the previous chat for links, comments, and all the usual twaddle.  :-)

  • A quick hello to AQ if I've timed it right - hope you have a great day with the family.  Do the two "appendages" get on alright together?  Ours relate quite well, although they don't often all get together.

Just spent an hour on phone to daughter#2 to tell her we'll pay for her boiler to be replaced - we spent all day deciding, but want to help out since they already committed to a new car this year and have the two student sons.  Her birthday on New Year's Eve, so OH is now arranging an Amazon gift voucher for that - expensive evening!

Some rain today, but still the white stuff hasn't all washed away, and again the road will be bad if it freezes tonight.  Bird activity remains at recent level - got three male chaffinches now - one has part of right foot missing, but he's managing!

Had haggis, neeps and tatties for dinner - can't produce it for New Year as we don't think son eats it; then finished up the profiteroles; will probably have a piece of panettone for supper - how's that for international cuisine?!!!

Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!

  • TerryM, hope the "cold turkey" tasted good:)

OG, what nice parents you are:)

Not much happening this end, enjoyed the Harry Potter DVD , so all set for another nice day tomorrow

    Happy Sunday everyone.

  • Hi everyone.

Hope you all had a brilliant Christmas and are enjoying the festive season.

Since it's the early hours of Sunday morning GMT, I'm going to start a new weekly chat thread.

    Paul.

Warning!  This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar.  Approach with extreme edginess.

  • Hello, Auntie.  How are you getting on with  the P D James book?  I really enjoyed it,
