Ellieloo, it's so great to see you on here - you did disappear quite suddenly and I did worry.  I'm so sorry to hear about your back, and what awful news about your dog - you must have been so hurt.  All you can do is take each day at a time and don't let anyone hurry you through the grieving process.

I'm no expert on ospreys either so join the club!

Ellieloo:   So sorry to hear the reasons for your not posting as much of late.  And what a sad thing to lose a beloved pet so suddenly.  You will never forget him, they remain with us for always.  Good to hear that you are recovering from your back injury, which can be so painful and debilitating.  Keep posting! Enthusiasm for the birds makes up for any lack of knowledge!

Ellieloo - I am so sorry to read that you have lost your GSD - I'm hoping my lovely dogs long gone, are waiting for me at the rainbow bridge.

Ellieloo so sorry to read of the loss of your German Shepherd so suddenly. Heartbreaking for you. Hope the bad back is much better now.

Ellieloo, so sorry to hear about your GSD, they leave a huge hole that is impossible to fill. We had to have ours put to sleep, and that was a few years ago now but we think of her often with happy thoughts. Hope your back is better and you will post again, as Ienjoyed reading your posts!

Ellieloo I too was so sorry to hear that you had lost your beloved pet.  They become so much a part of the family.  My thoughts are with you.
