See that Annette has been too busy perhaps, to start a new week, so I'm doing the honours. Rather wet in this part of the world this morning, so doing lots of tidying & Christmas preparing stuff.
TerryM: Ted is gorgeous either way!
Enjoying the overnight (here) dispatches from across the pond.
Annette – hope you got your dinner out and a bit of a rest – you have been dashing about a bit lately – take care of yourself as well as the family! Enjoy your shopping trip today – perhaps treat yourself to a leisurely lunch?
Caerann and Diane – keep safe in your extreme weather – especially if you are out and about under tall trees and on ice.
Gary – two weeks with no power? Can’t imagine it! Hope it doesn’t get that bad this year.
Birds in our garden were rather confused yesterday –scaffolding and men appeared and window feeders disappeared! One Mrs Blackbird used the scaffolding to come and get a different view in the kitchen window while making her complaint. However, early this morning the robin was sifting through debris from the old guttering and finding breakfast there!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Terry M : Nice pictures of Ted and I know what you mean about having him shaved as sometimes Hamish has to be shaved if his coat gets too thick and tangled. This time though he has been cut nicely with all the feathers and skirt showing. He is a pedigree dog after all. I dont think he would take kindly to having a coat although I have thought about it a few times.
Annette : Hamish has to sleep in his outside abode as LadyP has slight asthma and is allergic to some dog hairs. He is perfectly fine out there with extra blankets when it gets cold and access to his run and during the day the garden as well.
I have just received Roy Dennis book as an early Christmas present from Lady P so I have plenty of reading to do. I have had a quick look through and it looks fascinating.
Weather is mild and sunny today on TI. Temp 7.3c , Wind SW 9mph.
This morning I have a relatively minor shopping mission to the Co op and this afternoon I hope to put up the outside lights if it stays dry.
FAB
Ted is just gorgeous and what a beautiful colour.
Margobird
dibnlib what a stunniing picture and I think this has to be true mother love.
Oh that is "Life of Ospreys"? A great book and a worthy Christmas present!
Tiger Signature
Lindybird I will be worrying about you going out in your slippers to feed the birds. Take care. I am gerting very good now at staying upright. Have just finished the last of my Christmas present buying so that's a relief. At the beginning of last week I had not even started so am feeling quite pleased with myself now. Just the wrapping to do.
Thanks Diane. It shows that ospreys are on the horizon. Only 105 days to go assuming EJ follows her usual routine.
Someone should rig up a countdown clock!
patriciat it rained from 11.00 yesterday morning until about 10.00 last night. So far this morning it is dry but dull. Would not be surprised to see ducks and swans swimming on my lawn at the moment.
Alan thanks for the photo Hamish is more handsome than ever, I am completely in love with him and what a wonderful home he has.
