See that Annette has been too busy perhaps, to start a new week, so I'm doing the honours. Rather wet in this part of the world this morning, so doing lots of tidying & Christmas preparing stuff.
patriciat what a wonderful present that would be if EJ turned up on your birthday.
Good news about the eagle too but once again what a shame people feel the need to shoot these majestic birds.
Margobird
Lindybird yes lots of clothes on to beat the cold. I have poor circulation unfortunately but I must say it is so nice to see some sun after all the rain. I probably look twicemy normal size in the winter with all the extra clothing but it has to be done.
Great photo Alan of the reindeer. Well done to your daughter.
Forum life brings a lot of joy and not a little pain. We used to have a poster who was a big osprey fan. Yet he did return this year to any of his haunts. I have no idea why but one does wonder.

Welcome Heron77.
Hello everyone. Shopping mission completed successfully, all Christmas presents now purchased. Temp -3C but promised (?) to get colder so I just put Ziggy to the "warming cable", sorry I don`t know the proper term for that. But that`s a wire where the other end is plugged to the car and the other end is plugged to a pole and there is a timer where one can choose the time when the warming of the engine starts ( and lasts). Oh dear what an awkward sentence I just made, but I trust you can figure it out...
Annette: echo your idea that Patriciat could use an alias in that reindeer thing
aquilareen: I am helpless with books. I can`t go to a bookshop without buying some, and have absolutely no space for new ones.
OG: Don't know much about reindeer, but I think they have four stomachs and do the same as cows. So happy that you finally got your en-suite finished. It`s great that it is now both safe and comfy
patriciat: wouldn`t it be a marvellous birthday present should EJ arrive that date!
Alan: great countdown clock, thank you!
Gary: started to count my coats, but didn`t dare to go all the way ;)
Maureen/HilaryH: so, so sorry! Being a nurse (mostly cardiac but sometimes haematological as well) I have witnessed with my own eyes, what a positive attitude can do (especially to the quality of life) so keep up the spirit!!! Many warm thoughts to you and to your near and dear.
Everyone else that I didn`t mention by name: have a great Saturday!

Auntie, well done on the shopping mission. The sentence was fine as well about the car. I knew exactly what you meant. I think you do it to stop the engine from feezing up when it is stopped. We don't have to do that here but when we went north into Canada once almost everyone had a cable running from the car to the house:) This may be a silly question but is it your pole you plug the wire in or provided by the Town/State?
Tiger, thanks for that info. Must have taken you ages.
Annette, well done on the tree and can't beat Target!!
Enjoyed all the other chat. Off to start my day.
Happy Saturday everyone.

Nah Gary not long at at all. About a minute or so. I got software to do that sort of thing. The hard part is making sure the colums are not lost when copying across.
I used the co-ordinates right for the nest itself.
Gary: yep, the main reason is to prevent the engine to freeze. But there are benefits even in milder temperatures: when the engine is warm it takes less gasoline when starting the car and it also saves the engine. I live in an apartment and there are named spots in the yard for those living in this building and there is one pole between every two spots. The poles are provided by ourselves and we pay a small amount monthly/yearly for the "car-spot".
Lindybird: I think everybody is obsessed of the weather. it is something that "touches" everyone one way or the other
