Evening/morning!. Hope it's a good week for all. Check the previous blog for the latest adventures of Emma Peel and Steed plus recent posts from the usual suspects. :-)
Emma - what a whirl! Hope daughter's new boyfriend isn't headed back to Afghanistan any time soon.
EDIT: Oh this is interesting, in the following sentence, I typed the name of Germany's controlling political party during the late 30s/early 40s and it was replaced by asterisks! Just watched a great Netflix DVD - The Rape of Europa - about the pillaging of art by the *** and the subsequent repatriation of (most of) it after the war. Really interesting with footage I'd never seen before. After that, even more leftover Txgiving pie and rerun of Bridget Joans's Diary on telly while perusing latest Xmas catalogs. Have a good Sunday!
Our street, 4 p.m. Sunday, November 29

Annette: Such a beautiful, peaceful neighborhood. Just lovely!
AQ: I saw your pandas on our local news! They are quite famous.
Emma Peel : No translation needed for me as I use that expression quite a lot and it baffles all the sassenachs.
Weather here on TI is sunny but very cold. I must say I prefer this to all that rain. Wind has dropped today so it is just about perfect as long as you wrap up well. Temp 0.8c , Wind W 5mph. Pressure 1013 hPa rising.
I have not put outside lights up yet. I usually wait until about 12 days before Christmas and then take them down just before 6th January.
One last picture of Cockington Village to remind us of warmer times:
Morning all - no need for a translation for me either ... my Gran was from Brechin & used the expression too!
Freezing cold here today ... frost last night ... but I noticed the most beautiful frosty leaf patterns on my car windscreen and bonnet when I went to put the bin out first thing.
Joan - avid bird and nature watcher in Northumberland!

Annette, good luck sofa hunting and light putting up. Love the picture of your street. Very quiet and love the hills in the background. Doesn't looking at that picture want you to fire up your leafblower!! LOL
Sorry to all the Scots that I needed the translation:((
Very nice warm looking picture, Alan, thanks
I liked the birthday card my brother gave me. It has a B&W picture of a man in the kitchen using a frying pan and the words say"Gary (he had crossed out the word "he") had finally accepted that if at first you don't succeed, try doing it how your wife told you to in the first place" LOL
Looks lovely Annette and the colour of the leaves on the trees is stunning.
Margobird
original goldfinch hope yo have a good few days and you are right and I have now started to actually do something about Christmas.
Alan keep looking at the humming bird site and I get sound but no picture, have you had any trouble with it.
Margobird :Just had a quick look at the hummers and it seems ok to me. They are getting bigger by the minute and they will soon be leaving. The speed of their wings is awesome.
Morning all:
Margobird: Just checked hummingbird cam and it's working okay for me. As I mentioned before, someone on that site thought they'd fledge around the 5th. And yes, Fall comes late here but the liquidambers never fail to please.
Alan: Cockington Village looks idyllic - can imagine eating cream teas under the umbrellas.
Gary: Your bro sounds like a smart guy! :-)
