EDIT: Oh this is interesting, in the following sentence, I typed the name of Germany's controlling political party during the late 30s/early 40s and it was replaced by asterisks! Just watched a great Netflix DVD - The Rape of Europa - about the pillaging of art by the *** and the subsequent repatriation of (most of) it after the war. Really interesting with footage I'd never seen before. After that, even more leftover Txgiving pie and rerun of Bridget Joans's Diary on telly while perusing latest Xmas catalogs. Have a good Sunday!

The mutant, left-leg-short haggi, normally go anti-clockwise, so you have to chase them clockwise for them to fall over - but only left-handed people can prepare them, and they tend to find this a more natural way to go, so it all works out very well - for the people that is!
Envy you your walk - weather not so good here - some sunshine, but rain kept coming up suddenly, and I can't hurry, so only go when the weather is reliable. The knot are amazing when they fly like that. I had to be satisfied with the antics of eight or more blackbirds on and around our decking and kitchen window all day (plus all the usual daily visitors). I've never been over the Irish Sea (except the bit under the Skye Bridge! LoL).
Look forward to picture of next dog!! Are the Agility Competitions seasonal, or do you go on all year?
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!

Sorry, seem to have had time to read but not post today. Just to say I've enjoyed all the chat (stay warm Caerann) but I've learned so much about Haggis's today. I never knew about that one leg shorter than the other thing...........

OG: I saw some short-left-legged haggi in the freezer section of the supermarket today, more expensive than the more common short-right-legged haggi. We can get fresh, organic haggi at our local farmers' market too - in season of course! And I heard a rumor that McDonald's will be introducing a McHaggi burger in the New Year. Yum!
Still no Christmas lights up today - tomorrow is a must!

TerryM: You're welcome. I re-watched the hummingbird video, and I did, indeed, see that exiting squirrel! I missed it before. I should have suspected a squirrel. During the summer here, our tiny wrens ferociously peck the squirrels who dare to get too close to the wren chicks. It's an ongoing battle.

Caerann: I, too, am crazy about stones. I think each one has a different energy. When I need to summon up my courage, I have been known to pick out a powerful small stone to clutch in my hand. :-)

Agility competitions in NI stop for the winter - except that the training group I'm with organises an All reland Winter League, one Saturday per month November to April. We're all mad! LOL

Diane – amazing mix of weather you are going to encounter in a short space of time – “batten down the hatches”! Is it normal to have it like that in Indiana?
Was raining here at breakfast, but had to close blind in the study now to see screen - blinding sunshine! OH decided to paint the ensuite walls today (well, I did make it clear that he should!). Joiner did not come to do the sealing Friday as expected, so need to paint on Sunday when he won't turn up. If he comes this week and tiler comes to put right the wobbly bits Thursday as promised, I could be using it next weekend - eight weeks after start!
