Starting things off this week with a reminder to check the last of the posts for the week of the 15th so you don't miss any of the excellent information being shared. I hope this week we'll have check-ins from Cirrus, George G and some others who have been quiet but to whom I'm sure we all send our good wishes.
Happy Sunday Everyone!
Morning/Evening all: Been gone all day, so a quick visit here before I start on the list for tomorrow. Let me second (third) greetings to Tindra. The weather still sounds just awful, even more awful for the Cumbria folks.
Auntie: Hope you and Ziggy had a good day at the stores.
Patriciat: Re Christmas lists - I don't even have one; I send fewer cards every year but make more phone calls to people I don't see regularly.
Margobird: Do have a lovely time in Cornwall; assume you're over all your bruises?
Alan: Nice photo of the jasmine and cotoneaster. The hummingbird nest is about two hours down the road from us - I used to work in Orange County. I'll check the link in the morning when it's light here.
OG: Good luck with the final fixes on your bathroom - and enjoy the day with your son.
Gary: Wonder how do you deter a woodpecker from going after a house.....
dibnlib: We do get "Little Britain" on BBC America, but I've never seen it. Does Dillon's Advent calendar include doggie treats? I have two hummingbird feeders and they're very, very busy, even now when most of the other species have migrated south. The birds zoom back and forth from the orange trees to the feeders and there's always a turf war going on. I called the Audubon Society before I set the feeders out and they told me to fill them with plain sugar water (one part sugar to four parts boiling water, cooled obviously), but to take them down one or two days a week in the summer so the birds don't become dependent on them, but that it's okay to leave them up all the time in the winter (or what passes for winter here). My husband had a hummingbird nest in his garden - they're so incredibly tiny and sweet (but real toughies as adults!)
Hallo to everyone else who posted - and those who didn't - stay well.
OG Many thanks. Tried what you said - patience! This is Tweed with some of his Agility trophies.

Latest news from Cumbria, at 9.30AM
Parts of Cumbria devastated by last week's floods appear to have escaped further serious damage overnight.
It had been feared that heavy rain would cause rivers to burst their banks again.
The fire service says seven have now reached their peak, with no reports of any flooding.

Patriciat, just had to leave a comment. Tweed is certainly a very good looking dog and looks very proud of his trophies. Thanks for showing his photograph and now look forward to seeing your remaining three dogs.
patriciat what a beauty he is and so clever as well it would seem. Very photogenic as well looks as though he posed for you.
Margobird
Hello Annette we will enjoy our stay in Cornwall but hoping the weather will calm down just a bit. Allo evidence of my fall has finally gone thanks goodness, it has taken a long time.
Patriciat : What a great photo of Tweed. He is certainly a fit looking dog.
Margobird : In case I forget enjoy your trip to Cornwall and I hope the weather is favourable for you.

Margobird, glad the bruises are gone and is it this weekend you leave?
Annettee, Diane and all our other US friends, Happy Thanksgiving for tomorrow. Being a "Brit abroad" we love the holiday and have a nice roast dinner to celebrate. Tradition here is Turkey but as we have that at christmas we have beef (how expensive is that!)
