Starting things off this week with a reminder to check the last of the posts for the week of the 15th so you don't miss any of the excellent information being shared. I hope this week we'll have check-ins from Cirrus, George G and some others who have been quiet but to whom I'm sure we all send our good wishes.
Happy Sunday Everyone!
Alan - thanks for the hummingbirds, just looked and they were being fed, beautiful - also thanks for lovely colourful photo FAB
Today has been really wet and windy, but yesterday was clear and I definitely had to stop at the side of the road on the way to work to watch, ooh it must have been about 500 geese flying over, amazing. I must be getting old, I get all emotional watching geese flying over, fantastic lacy skeins all across the sky.
I want to try a link here you might be interested in (never done this before, hope it works):

I was looking for dates of British Summer Time next year and found this junior school, they have loads of interesting stuff explained in a straightforward way. I liked this picture of where it is daylight now which updates throughout the day (but you need Java, so I must have it at work but not here at home). We can see when USA, Australia and Finland are in daytime.

enter into Body where you post your replies .On the top right see blue/greenish symbol and click on it. then click on browse, right click on picture you want then click on select. after that click on insert. think that should be it. I succeeded for the first time last week and am well pleased, so am resolved to take the camera out more often and take other photos than just Dillon
Alan, thanks for the link to the hummingbirds. Just watched the chicks being fed again. Superb clear pictures.
Alan - thanks for the hummingbird link - just watched them being fed - wonderful :)) Loved your photo too - so bright and cheerful on this gloomy day!

Alan, thanks for the link. Great stuff.
Lindybird, my house is made of wood (as are most houses out here) so they love to peck! Sounds like Dog didn't know which paw to limp on:)
TerryM, thanks for that link. Very interesting. Small world as I lived my first 25 years 8 miles from that school:)
Hope everyone else is getting on OK today

Caerann - I hope I am in time to wish you Happy Thanksgiving for Thursday, if this reaches you before you set off - have a great time with your sister and family!

Thanks so much - I'll try that now. Tried it several times and got to 'insert' but it didn't work! I'll try again tomorrow.

Patricia T: When you get to and click on insert, give it up to a couple of minutes - it can be quite slow!
Been busy today; then this evening trying to catch up on AutumnWatch (reached halfway through no 4!), so no more specific replies.
Had plumber and joiner here all morning. Shower only needs tiler's corrections, washbasin can be used, as can toilet. Tiler has several outstanding tasks: one need some more mosaic tiles to correct shower floor, another awaits electician who needs a "gizmo" to repair the heated flooring which was broken by the other plumber - - - and so it goes on. Electrician was here today and replaced the fan broken by the tiler, but had been given the wrong fixing kit for the floor. He removed another tile, so now there are five fixes for the tiler, after the electrician. Joiner needs to box in some pipes when he has the material and seal all the edges when everything else is done! Could use the room for the loo, but without underfloor heating the tiles are very cold on my poor feet. Overall effect is very promising - if you just don't look at the tiles and holes!
Son is coming tomorrow and overnight on his way to a job interview in Ayrshire, so might not make contact that day. Hope it's a good one for everyone.
sounds like you are getting there OG! Have a nice time with your son and hope the job interview goes well for him
Good Evening/Night/Morning! lol!
Alan: Thanks for posting the Humminbird cam, I am absolutely in love with them. So beautiful!
Thanks to all for your good wishes and I shall think of all you nice folks here when we pause to give thanks as part of the day on Thursday.
We may see some Bald Eagles along the way and we'll also be very near to the nesting site of the resident Peregrine Falcons at the power plant in Minnesota. (Yes Annette, the Peregrines from the Raptor Force program.)
I shall be back online probably Monday so until then be well and safe everyone!
