Good Morning/Night Everyone and welcome to another addition of our fun and very informative thing we do called the "chat." =O) Today, we in America turn our clocks back so it should be great fun trying to figure out what time it is where everyone else in the group is.
Posts for part of 30th and all of 31st October, plus part of 1st November can be found on pages 16-18 of the 25th October Chat. Don't miss newly posted flower and tree photos, a report on the Crane Cam from TerryM, an intriguing video link from Gary, Wattle15 checks in and traditions for the days of 31st October and 1st November from Auntie, Diane and yours truly; plus much more.
Well, I guess that's it then. Be well and safe everyone.
Lindybird, glad you had a nice time and Dog not on a diet didn't let himself (or you) down!! LOL
That cake storey is great. As long as I couldn't see any drool dripping from the cake I would have eaten it as well.
the better half has a doctors appointment in a few hours so hopefully get her on the right path.
Gary: There are times when something is better not to know!
Annette: See you enjoyed the Ravi Shankar concert, wish I could have been there too. Some music easily crosses the divide between cultures, even though it sounds strange at first to ears not used to the experience....
Lindybird: Not sure if this works with chocolate desserts, but a doc once told me (after I'd been nicked by one) that dogs had the "cleanest" mouths, cats were "ok" too, and humans? Ugh.
Hi Annette- thought for a minute there you were going to remind me that dogs shouldn't eat chocolate, & yes I know, but he doesn't get the chance usually! Anyway, neither he nor any of us were worse for the experience, so no harm done. Kept him away from kitchens as much as possible after that: we hadn't had him long at the time, and were used to a previous dog ( black & white border collie) we'd had, who couldn't reach the worktop enough to steal things, but this one has long hind legs! He's very fond of apples & bananas when his Master is chomping on one, and even salivates at the sight of an orange segment!!! Never knew a dog which would do that before.
Lindybird and Annette: The little dog in my earlier post is "Chester". My best friend rescued him from an animal shelter/dog pound (I don't know what you call these places in Britain?). He was a matted, flea-bitten, pitiful little guy when she found him and saved him. After some tender loving care, he has become the healthy, handsome doggie gentleman you see in the photo. My friend would insist that I encourage anyone who is looking for a pet to visit a local shelter and save a dog or cat. :-) Here are her current 5 rescued dogs, all gorgeous and living good lives!
Diane: What a happy story. So good to know that all the dogs in those pix are living happily ever after. How's the flu? You and your Dad surviving okay?
Does anyone know what happens to all the chat pages before 1st September - are they wiped off or is there a "storage" space for them that I can't find? If they are wiped off we are soon going to lose the fantastic photos that were taken by Xalbai of Mallachie - so save them now folks if you want them. I use them as part of a screensaver that I have compiled.
OG and Cirrus - TQ for the advice on how to down (?up) load photos onto these pages - will give it a try sometime.
Annette, I'm glad that you enjoyed the concert. I remember when Ravi Shankar toured with George Harrison. Lindybird, I loved the story about Dog stealing the dessert!
Everyone: I have seen the video/pics and reports of the terrible flooding across the UK, esp. Scotland. I really hope that all of you and your property are safe. Tish, in case you are reading this, I hope you and your property are not threatened. Take care, everyone!
I'll second that Diane - hope everyone is dry at least. I've been thinking about Tish since she was a regular; then we saw Maureen for about a minute, then she was gone again.

Liz LFW: I just had a good look around the entire site and can't find anything about archived posts. " Thanks for the heads up re Xalbai's pix of Mallachie.
