If nothing goes right, go left! :-)
SANDRA/RACH - LOCHTER - This is the nest just a couple of minutes from my house.
I posted pictures of the female (Libby) on the camera her favourite perch and also pictures of the male (Branson) mating with her on top the camera. They are not ringed but know a little of their history. The camera is good as there is a tea room with HD TV to watch the nest and they have beautiful hiome bake, meals and tea whilst you view them. Or just go outside and look at them. I have posted this before but a reminder for you.
SANDRA/RACH - A wee reminder where the egg came from.
It is a lovely evening here and am going for a walk to the nest in a couple of minutes. Will go in for a cake and tea tomorrow to view the nest top to see if there are two yet.
Paula also on the forums goes down to see them as well so we will post on progress for you all. Jake does the U Tube.
Gosh Keith, you are so lucky to have Ospreys living so close to you! I would be out watching them all day, no HW would be done in my house then!! lol
Took this capture of the Dunedin chick at 12:30pm our time today, 4:30am USA time, I think, The sun is just rising..
Thanks, Keith! You are so lucky to have a nest so near! As Sandra says, nothing would get done in the house, with me either. Do you see them fishing? That's something I would love to see. Do post some pictures if you can. It's a shame the camera isn't online, I'm very keen on following the UK nests.
A thing of beauty is a joy forever.
Sandra, I'm so pleased that chick seems to be growing, at least there will be one to fledge, but I do wish it wouldn't sit so close to the edge!
Just a wee note to let you know that XL & M returned to nestat home. Sorry I have not been here until now but I have had THE most horrendous time with walkers disturbing the pair. To cut a long story short Police Wildlife Liaison Office attende with me to the house of 2 of these people & issued a serious warning should disturbance continue. Hopefully they will now take notice & there will be no further problems
One Life - Live It!!
Here is 1st glimpse of 1st egg yesterday
So sorry to hear of this Val, some people do not have an ounce of sense. I hope they are sorted out and dont come near again. Good Luck for a successful year for XL and M. Will keep checking your website to see how they are progressing.
