Dunedin male:
Wow, you caught that picture really well, Scylla! I do hope the tiny got a decent feed. I haven't looked in since morning due to family commitments but I did think tiny looked less lively earlier.
A thing of beauty is a joy forever.
Thank you for answers scylla, moffer & BoL - have that cam now - a further question BoL - how do you manage to crop your pics to the exact size????

The three chicks are sleeping in Estonia, Piret is preening at the back of the nest.
Piret is brooding the chicks, but looking extremely watchful, Madis flew past a moment ago but I couldn't see if he had fish.
Piret just left the nest for a quick fly-round and the chicks jostled for position in the nest. The two eldest are very lively, the little one much less so, and tends to get buried under the other two.

Just logged on to our kalakotkas to see #3 begging from behind the two elders, but as I went to take a snapshot it toppled over. Oh I do wish that they wouldn't have a third, insurance or not :'(

The light changed and the nest suddenly looked even more beautiful, not sure if this captures it:
Lovely, Scylla! It looks edged with gold. It looks lovely at sunset too.
I agree with you about just having two chicks, I fear we are in for another little tragedy here. The two eldest are now so much bigger and stronger that Tiny doesn't stand a chance when it comes to food, and grows ever weaker.
It's raining and Piret is away from the nest. The chicks are getting wet and cold.
Hello Rach - can you tell me where this other nest is please??
