Dunedin male:
Looks like the big thick branch is snuggling up closer to our kalakotkas :-)
IMAGICAT
Rain in Estonia, Piret looks drenched, she's huddled over the little chicks.
A thing of beauty is a joy forever.
I just watched a feed at the Estonian nest. Chick 3 appeared to get turned on his/her back and couldn't right itself for several moments. It wasn't fed.
(By the way, the black stork chicks can all three fully stand up and walk around now. They also are getting soaked today.)
News from the Lake District today:
Lake District Osprey Project Good News and Bad. The nest has survived the storm and flooding, the chick was eating when we eventually got a look today. The surrounding farmland is under water, and we have lost all power from the nest, so no pictures at Whinlatter. Also the viewpoints at Dodd are CLOSED today as our staff and volunteers were unable to get into work due to road closures.

There must be troubles and suffering throughout the north-west :(
Kielder update here
Chicks home alone in Estonia. The little one has got a lot of catching up to do, I hope he makes it.

It started begging as soon as Piret got up just now. Fingers crossed, but it shouldn't be in the awful predicament that LG #3 was, with food shortage causing aggression. Piret is feeding the chicks a big fish at the moment but she's in the way of the cam.
3 chicks at Hellgate Montana now:
