Hi Val, and thank you so much for the update on XL & M; I was hoping that they'd both returned safely. Best of luck for the rest of the season.
Pesky walkers indeed, Alan! I have caught them on 4 occasions under the nest! 1st time I bounded out of the hide & asked them in no uncertain terms to quickly move along as the ospreys were cleary disturbed. Next time I reminded them that if I saw them again I would have to report incidents. After 2 further encounters it was just too much, ospreys were demented so I contacted WLO.
Cheeky *** told WLO that I had been aggressive!! I did not swear - much to my surprise but quickly explained the need to move away quietly & quickly.
XL & M have been my life for many years & to see this disturbance was just too much. There are other local walkers that I regularly see & they are aware of the tolerance distance. Another group quoted "their right to roam!" This I accept but suggested that the hefty fine that could be imposed may just be sufficient to help them quickly to get along the route they wished to roam.
Will keep you posted!

Val, you've done exactly the right thing regarding the intruding walkers - the law is there for a very good reason.
