Dunedin male:
Ok, thanks. I just wondered.
A thing of beauty is a joy forever.
Rachel R said: Sandra: the problem at LG is the local broadband connections. The equipment on the nest and as far as the centre is fine - not HD, but as we saw earlier in the season (and if you go there, on the screens at the centre itself), still quite good quality. They can't stream at that resolution because the local (ie BT) cabling can't cope - they tried, but had to give up so that they could give us any sort of picture at all, without constantly having to reset. That is how I understand it, anyway.

Apparently the Lochter ospreys are named Libby and Branson!!

Ditto.
B&B - I've recorded loads of the SMITH MOUNTAIN LAKE osprey nest but there's something "wrong" with the stream and it's almost unplayable and completely uneditable :-( Was hoping to catch the bird/s revealing the eggs. If I can I will record via screen capture tomorrow (gosh, it's tomorrow already!).
IMAGICAT
2 on the nest at Seili:
Literally just as I clicked on the Charing X peregrines the tirecel arrived with prey Couldn't identify it....too small for pigeon
He has a little feed while mum flies around. She comes back and snatches the food from him
Then she begins feeding 2 of the chicks Sadly doesn't look as if the third will survive much longer In all the captures it just lies there
Lovely pictures, PATILY, but the plight of chick #3 is hard to take :'(
Kalakotkas :-)
BRIGHT&BREEZY, here you can just see THREE eggs at SMITH MOUNTAIN LAKE - the third one is behind the right-hand one of the front two - it's dark so difficult to spot.
Thought I would put this video of Lady in 2010 for those that have not seen it. Enjoy!! :-)
