Thanks for that, Alan.
This sounds like the 'second pair' from last year - I think the female was reported as being white-ringed on the left leg. This is a potentially worrying development if YV's previous partner has now turned up: will he stick with his current mate and eggs, or abandon her for his old flame?
The osprey that is on the Estonia nest at the moment has an injury on the back of it's ringed leg.
A thing of beauty is a joy forever.
Estonia cam is really clear. Almost like 3D sometimes:

What a shame, I hope it's not serious :-( I'll try to find a clip but I have 5-and-a-half hours to go thru and it won't play so am converting it, it's taking for ever.
IMAGICAT
Scylla, it's the male, it doesn't look too serious, it looks as if he's taken the skin off.
Re the Bassenthwaite ospreys, we do have cameras on all three nests, just in case :)

Excellent new blog on Dyfi website about the three eggs.
Thanks for that link, Ruthie. Dyfi do a good job with communication, presented beautifully too. Lovely photo of Nora brooding, you wouldn't want to mess with her!
You certainly wouldn't Rach. The photos they put out on the blog and Facebook are stunning.
