Another week folks. Just in case you missed it, AQ posted the following at 12:41 a.m. Sunday morning:
Good morning. 10.10 am. Yawn. Couldn’t get to sleep last night plus we lost an hour as daylight saving started. Tiring but such an exciting day yesterday watching Daughter#2 look at 100s and try on dozens of wedding dresses. Funny (strange funny), that she wants me involved. For my wedding I was busy fending off my mother as, being the last of the flock to marry, she had developed a set of traditions/customs that were essential. Hm, I won some, lost some. As Dau#2 has been living away from home for several years, I am quite happy to sit back and let her decide her day.
Annette. Until you learn the new appliances are you eating out of a can beside a campfire in the backyard? Or on a diet of salads? LOL
Diane. Later I shall post some photos of Pacific black ducks on the Backyard gallery. Loved the Kakapo video – thanks for the link.
Alan fame at last for Tracy Island.
Margobird
Tish this is a wise choice she has so much enthusiasm as you say and a vert pleasant person as wel. Well done to Kate.
Alan: FAB, indeed. LOL!
Does everyone on Tracy Island show their garters?
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
OG: Is that a garter or a gun holster? What a hoot!
Annette I'm so envious of you! Rainbow Moonstone is one of my most favorite stones and you've been to a beach where you can evidently pick them up by the pocket load. =O) Tres cool!
Are you going to Hearst Castle as well?
Morning (9.15 am) all. Very nasty autumn weather here, raining heavily and strong winds, temp. 7C.

Good morning to you Auntie and all :) It's almost 08.30 here in the jolly ole UK and in Bristol we have a ceiling of rubbish grey cloud - a total covering of the stuff. It' supposed to be 11 C which is absloutely amazing for October but I assure you it's a lot colder indoors. Why IS that !! Anyway, at least it's dry (so far).
A work evening for me , sigh, so I hope to get there and home again (walking) in the dry.
Caerann - Rainbow moonstones. By which I take it there is colour in them? 'Cos the only moonstones I've seen are pale and not uninteresting by any means, just not what I could say are my favourite stones!
Good news re Rothes, isn't it? And i'm personally very happy for my darling Mallachie to stay where she is until she is fat with fish. :)
I hope you are having a great hol Annette, and Diane and Auntie I do hope your individual day goes well.
Original goldfinch - not only do they show their garters, it seems they (deliberately) show off their thong knickers as well. Just not very appropriate in my book ( I know , i'm a party pooper I suppose) even if it is supposed to be news. Enjoy your day too.
Hi Tish - a big hug for you.
Cirrus
Thanks for the hugxx You too!!
Was watching GMTV this morning with breakfast and they were talking about earthquakes in Southern California. As Annette is the only [person I know who lives there PLEASE be careful. I really cannot imagine what it would be like. IMagine (selfishly) nobody to keep an eye on theospreys when we are sleepingLOL
Everything in life is speaking in spite of its apparent silence.
ALSO MAUREEN, KAREN AND TINKER. PLEASE POST.
