Another week folks. Just in case you missed it, AQ posted the following at 12:41 a.m. Sunday morning:
Good morning. 10.10 am. Yawn. Couldn’t get to sleep last night plus we lost an hour as daylight saving started. Tiring but such an exciting day yesterday watching Daughter#2 look at 100s and try on dozens of wedding dresses. Funny (strange funny), that she wants me involved. For my wedding I was busy fending off my mother as, being the last of the flock to marry, she had developed a set of traditions/customs that were essential. Hm, I won some, lost some. As Dau#2 has been living away from home for several years, I am quite happy to sit back and let her decide her day.
Annette. Until you learn the new appliances are you eating out of a can beside a campfire in the backyard? Or on a diet of salads? LOL
Diane. Later I shall post some photos of Pacific black ducks on the Backyard gallery. Loved the Kakapo video – thanks for the link.
Cirrus: I sympathize! You should not have to pay to park in front of your own house! If someone could find a way to charge us for the air we breathe, we'd have to write the check every month :-) Sheesh. When I lived in the city, I didn't mind the diesel and pneumatic brake noises ...oh... but the sound of a car alarm (theft alarm) would send me right up the wall and onto the ceiling!!! Do they allow those in England and Scotland?
"Fly Away Home" is a wonderful movie. Have you ever seen the documentary: "Jane Goodall: Reason for Hope"? I think you might like it. It's the story of her life and her conservation and animal protection efforts. She talks a lot about whether humans are basically good and will find it within ourselves to save the planet and its animals. Great footage shot in Tanzania, etc. It's narrated by Harrison Ford and the soundtrack is by Yo-Yo Ma and Bobby McFerrin. Take care.
Hi, Tish! I don't think I've spoken to you for awhile. Caerann: Hope you are feeling better now! Annette: Safe journey!
If you go to the "Live osprey nest site there is a great spotted woodie red squirrels, a coal tits. Just charming!!
Everything in life is speaking in spite of its apparent silence.
Been on the shopping mission to planet Tesco this morning. Now back home and contemplating taking Thunderdog Hamish out for his afternoon walk. The ground is damp underfoot so just waiting for it to dry up a bit.
Weather is dry , Temp 17.0c , Wind S 15mph , Visibilty 7km , Humidity 96% , Barometer 1003hPa falling.
Morning all: Update from Alice (not much new)
Nice and sunny in wooded hills of Cambria; off to explore Moonstone Beach after breakfast. Took granddaughter to see Yo-Yo-Ma and Bobby McFerrin at L.A. Music Center eons ago - was wonderful.
Have a nice day all.

What can one say, Alan !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! F.A. B.
Hello to everyone and bye again as I'm off out now but I'm hoping there will be another update re the girls when I return (late and heading straight for bed except for a quick look online and at GE.)
Diane, you remarked: When I lived in the city, I didn't mind the diesel and pneumatic brake noises ...oh... but the sound of a car alarm (theft alarm) would send me right up the wall and onto the ceiling!!! Do they allow those in England and Scotland?
They sure do and my only comment is always, ' Oh, hurry up and steal it !) I never bother to look. There are more modern ways of protecting ones car now but of course there are the thousands of cars on 'old' technology. Sigh.
Hello Tish :)
Enjoy your hol, Annette !
