Another week folks. Just in case you missed it, AQ posted the following at 12:41 a.m. Sunday morning:
Good morning. 10.10 am. Yawn. Couldn’t get to sleep last night plus we lost an hour as daylight saving started. Tiring but such an exciting day yesterday watching Daughter#2 look at 100s and try on dozens of wedding dresses. Funny (strange funny), that she wants me involved. For my wedding I was busy fending off my mother as, being the last of the flock to marry, she had developed a set of traditions/customs that were essential. Hm, I won some, lost some. As Dau#2 has been living away from home for several years, I am quite happy to sit back and let her decide her day.
Annette. Until you learn the new appliances are you eating out of a can beside a campfire in the backyard? Or on a diet of salads? LOL
Diane. Later I shall post some photos of Pacific black ducks on the Backyard gallery. Loved the Kakapo video – thanks for the link.
TEMPERATURE HERE THIS MORNING AT 5 A.M. WAS 2C. It has now risen to 9C. Can't stop sneezing!!
Everything in life is speaking in spite of its apparent silence.
Bless you, bless you, bless you, bless you, bless you Tish :)
Hi everyone. Back after a few days away and trying to catch up. So much happens!
The shops over here have tons of halloween stuff in them at the moment but the christmas stuff is creeping in. I would much rather clean the car of course:) Hope everyone is doing well this week
Hi Gary (and very sensible of you) . How did your mum's visit go then? I take it she is now back home (where ever that is) ?
We all decided last year each family would buy for their own immediate families, only, ( that is our children and their husband/ wife) and everyone breathed a sigh of relief. It really was getting too much, with even nieces and nephews producing children the list was endless. We now only buy presents for birthdays. Christmas has become far too commercialised.
And Easter starts in January. Silly nonsense!!!
Alan, are you and Birdie watching the Stags on Rhum? Is there a video or something? Birdie says:
'Its all go with the stags on Rum isnt it? Have had to turn sound down as my neighbours were getting worried. At least the ospreys were quieter!'
Please would you give me the link if you have one? Thank you
Jane, my mum goes back today. She flys out at 7.45pm and arrives back in London tomorrow at 7.30am.
So taking her to the airport later today
Had a wonderful visit and we had a few days away in New Hampshire which was lovely.
Welcome home Gary :) and safe flight for your mum. So good you both had a great visit.
